ONLINE CHURCH BULLETIN
If you received an envelope in the mail and you opened it to read the words "YOU'RE INVITED", what would you do? Well, I imagine all of us would open it up to see what we were invited to. We keep an open mind as to whether we will go depending on what the event is. Then, we will determine whether we will go based on whether we really want to or not. Finally, we will decide whether or not to go depending on what else is going on. I'll go to that which I am interested in.
You are invited to a revival October 1-4. You will probably be invited to other things those four days and you will have to decide whether you want to come or not. Or, whether you would rather go to something else.
I had a conversation with someone of a denominational church here in town recently and that told me that one of the things that the Smithville Church of Christ was noted for was their faithfulness in their attendance. Have you already set aside the time to attend each service? I know it's not the most convenient time and there are other things going on. But let me challenge you to do something. We will have six services counting Bible Class on Sunday. We'll say that is seven hours-because of the early time we will begin singing on Sunday evening. There are 168 hours in the week. All I'm asking you to do is to commit 7 hours, out of 168, to worship and fellowship.
If you really want to get into it, then we will count the 5 meals we'll be having that week. But, make it a point to attend each service and see if it makes a difference in your life! Oh, and by the way. Do you want to know the easiest way to do this? Bring somebody with you!
