WHAT DIFFERENCE WILL I MAKE?
A king invited all of his people to come together for a great banquet. He asked that each of his subjects bring a container of wine to the feast, telling them that the wine would be poured together in a great vat in the way that he hoped their hearts would be Poured together at the banquet, However, the people of his kingdom bad forgotten something important about life. So much so that one said to himself, "What difference will it make if I bring wine or not'? I'll just bring a container of water ... no one will even notice." The night of the banquet came. The people filed into the great hall and poured the contents of their containers into the great vat and then took their places at the table. The king was served the first cup from the vat ... and found that it was just water. What was supposed to be a great night of celebration was turned into a night of shame. this was because each person said, "What will my small contribution mean'? No one will know the difference." I-lave you ever felt like that? Most of us have, Everyone at some time has asked, "What difference will I make?" Tins is one of Satan's great weapons. If he can attack our selfesteem, chip away at our worth to the point we feel worthless, then he is well on his way to victory. He also knows God's power and what can happen when one of God's own takes a stand with that power (Eph. 3:21). The question is, "Do you know what can happen?" God gives us many opportunities to make a difference.
"...the eye cannot say unto the band, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you, Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary..." -1 Cor. 12:21,22
