Counting Calories

As the holidays are fast approaching and people are more concerned about their weight, I thought this would be appropriate. In a recent report by the Southern California Medical Association pointed out that proper weight control and physical fitness cannot be attained by dieting done. Many people who are engaged in sedentary occupations do not realize that calories can be burned by the hundreds by engaging in strenuous exercises that do not require physical exercise.  The following is a list of calorie burning activities and the number of calories per hour they consume:

Beating around the bush
Jumping to conclusions
Climbing the walls
Swallowing your pride
Passing the buck
Throwing your weight around (Depending upon your weight)
Dragging your heels
Pushing your luck
Making mountains out of molehills
Hitting the nail on the head
Wading through paperwork
Bending over backwards
Jumping on the bandwagon
Balancing the books
a Running around in circle
Eating crow
Tooting your own horn
Climbing the ladder of success
